Meet Alisha
I have spent my whole life loving animals. As a kid, I grew up on a farm with tons of cats, dogs, cows and horses! I even had a goat until my grandparents auctioned him off (still getting over that one! :P) After college, I immediately got involved in animal welfare and never looked back! I'm currently the Executive Director of Gateway Pet Guardians (GPG) in East St. Louis, IL (just across the river from St. Louis, MO). GPG is a 501c3 non-profit which is focused on providing equitable access to pet care in an area that has historically been overlooked and under resourced. We provide affordable pet supplies, grooming and medical care as well as provide shelter and foster/adoptive homes for dogs and cats who are in need of a new home. My blog will take you on a journey of life in our whirlwind of an industry!
